That may not cover you. You will not be under any quarantine order if you test positive and can't board a plane, unless maybe you are in China.

Say you test + the day before your scheduled flight back to the US. The medical professional taking the test will determine when you’re free to fly —- in the meantime you’re in quarantine as per her instructions. Trip delay kicks in (for policies that accept covid )

But you have to get a letter saying all that, and the insurance carrier has to accept it. Not saying it can't happen, just that the CDC order isn't a quarantine order, and the CDc guidelines for isolation are just that, guidelines and not an order.
