Insuremytrip and squaremouth are both good aggregators.
Tripinsurancestore.com is good if you want to talk to someone for advice |
| I just got mine through AXA. Have not yet traveled so I can't speak to how good it is, but I did speak to someone on the phone who said that Covid-related delays would be covered through the trip delay part of the insurance (up to a certain amount). |
Does that include extending lodging costs? A lot of coverages don't cover that because it's not a direct cost of care |
Probably because you didn’t have CFAR. |
This is my concern as well. Looking for coverage that includes extended lodging costs and flight change fees. |
Hard to find coverage for that- you will have to read the documents very closely. |
| search for "best insurance for covid quarantine" -- Forbes has a list and rating. We just bought Trawick and upped the trip delay coverage (includes covid quarantine if someone tests positive coming back to US) to $500 per day per person. Family of 4 $175 for 10 days in Europe. Lots of health coverage too. |

"Trip Delay provides coverage for transportation, meals, and lodging when you are quarantined by a physician or government."
That may not cover you. You will not be under any quarantine order if you test positive and can't board a plane, unless maybe you are in China. |
This is my concern as well! |
Say you test + the day before your scheduled flight back to the US. The medical professional taking the test will determine when you’re free to fly —- in the meantime you’re in quarantine as per her instructions. Trip delay kicks in (for policies that accept covid ) |
