| Yum OP. I just returned from Kauai + had some great ones there. There are some food truck guys in Georgetown that sell snow cones with lots of flavors. Those are the closest I have seen here. |
| Only in Baltimore. |

There's a guy who does that outside the baseball diamond on 14th & Upshur during little league games in the evenings and on Saturdays. It's a rolling cart
and he rolls after selling so I have no idea where he goes after. Perhaps down 14th to Columbia Heights. |
| Carmens has the best Italian ices I have found in the DC metro area. shave ice is nice but it is NOT Italian ice. Baltimore has real Italian ices too but I don’t know the city well enough to direct you. |
| Ahh, the Italian ice carts in S. Philly. My childhood... Marrone's Ice was the best. |

Capitol Snow is great. Their truck is usually in Franconia, but they do a lot of events and always post where they’ll be on their Facebook page. I’m sad we don’t live close to them anymore. They make their own syrups and it’s all delicious.

Oh, and this is shave ice style, not Italian ice. |
| I wish, I miss them. There was one outside the school on York and 75th. I'd get one while walking my dog when I was unemployed one summer. Only thing left for $1 in NYC at the time. (10 yrs ago.) |

another nomination for carmens.
Great italian ice AND great vanilla custard. Not quite as good as Kohrs on the beach, but better than Ritas imo. There aren't many good soft serves around here. I think Carmens is just as good as Jimmie Cones in Damascus. |
Thank you all for the suggestions and the nostalgia! With so many northeast city transplants here maybe they'll make it here one day! if you spot one in the future, please let us know.
