how come no summer camps ask for medical forms?

All of our summer day camps (which between 2 kids last year and this year is at least 7 different organizations) have required some version of a health/medical form.

What camps aren't asking for a health form?

Signed by a doctor? Our day camps require a “medical form” but that’s just listing food allergies or other conditions the camp needs to be aware of. It’s not like the forms for school.

only time i needed a form signed by a doctor was when I needed to send medication to camp. Every other camp has their own version of a health form/questionnaire. I've also had to send it the vaccine record for out of state camps.

In years past, I seem to remember some kind of medical information needed but it was more "fill in the fields of your doctor/dentist etc. with their contact information" type form.

Sleepaway camp - needs a ton of paperwork/items signed by doctors/prescriptions arranged ahead of time etc. That's a different ballgame.
