The 6-10 days of masks are being strongly enforced in our ES. I'd imagine its harder to enforce in MS and HS.

We just got a daily Covid # email that says 10 day isolation.

Look under the Care Room heading which is the second “block” and has a section for students who test positive.

I cannot answer for staff policies or how they are the same or different.

“Isolation period for students of 5 days. The student may return on days 6-10 when the following criteria is met:
Fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication)
Symptoms are improving”

A positive on rapid antigen texts means you are contagious. FCPS and CDC ask for masking from days 6-10 because of this but are not requiring isolation because the economy needs to keep chugging along.

There is a discrepancy between cdcs policy and reality making for complicated decisions for kids that are completely allowed to return but are still contagious to an extent.
