If you actually read the article, many of these women don’t actually want to pay that money for a designer bag. And it’s not just about Birkenstock- it’s all kinds of high end bags, which you *can walk in and buy.

I'm sure real Birkin bags are made by highly paid artisans working in an ergonomic paradise pumped with HEPA filtered air and given full body massages every few hours.

I think this speaks to what mindless lemmings these people are. With this kind of money you could pay a real artisan to make something truly unique and beautiful just for you. These ladies would rather have a status symbol more than anything.

You can easily buy them on the resale market. There are reputable resellers.
