| Aren’t these long cases the outliers? |
| Solid two weeks for me. |
| On a side note, If you lose your sense of taste and smell, are you able to adopt a superhealthy diet since taste and smell don’t matter anymore? |
I’m on 2 months and yes, definitely healthy eating. And I cut out booze because it just burns. |
| I also lost my taste and smell and it freaked me out and I was worried it would be gone for a long time. It came back 3-4 days later. Just to say, it isn't always a long time. |
| I still have parosmia one year and three months later. It’s been a nightmare. |
For taste and smell? No. It’s not the majority, but lingering effects in taste and smell are not uncommon. |
| I had mine back in a couple weeks, DH never lost it at all. For my SIL it took longer and she says there are certain foods that still don’t taste right., especially things she had enjoyed before Covid. She had delta last summer FWIW whereas I had omicron. |
| I had one of the more recent variants. I lost sense of taste for a few days and then it came back. |
| Buy turmeric or curcumin supplement that has little black pepper in it. Maybe 1000mg/day. Look up studies on subject. I think just 1 day of taking supplement worked, took effect in 1-3 days. Good luck |

My dad has never gotten his sense of smell or taste back. It's been 15 months now.
It's sad because he enjoyed cooking nightly. Now, he often burns food and can't season properly. |

3 days. I was told to supplement with Zinc so I did. Not sure if it helped but certainly didn't hurt.
Tested positive on 4/23. First negative test 4/30. |
