If you have fake Covid fatigue get mental health treatment. You should use caution regardless but if kids are in person why concern. They will get it. |
+1 Obsessing over "masks or not" isn't healthy for my mental health. I cann |
| The decent people will still mask so just make sure to surround yourself with them and let the anti maskers self segregate into their own section. |

I mask because it doesn’t bother me and I don’t want to catch Covid. So many people I know are getting it now. One friend got it at a (non-MCPS) school event and all the other mom volunteers got it too.
I told DS to start masking again for the week before his AP exams so he doesn’t get sick beforehand/during. Told DD to wear a mask before her musical performance next week. If you have something big coming up and don’t want to miss it due to Covid, assess the risk and then mask if it’s important to you. |
| Our school simply has no optional indoor evening events. |
Yeah ours are still outdoors only (ES). Could see how this wouldn’t work for MS and HS though. |
My teen chose (on her own) to continue masking. She never stopped. But she has to remove her mask to eat lunch, and the kid who sat next to her at lunch last week tested positive. Two or three days later, dd tested positive. |
| Hell no! |
Decent people aren't so judgemental. |

I have kids in two DCC high schools and have been gto both for events this spring, and I would say 90%+ are masking. Teachers/staff are more like 70%, but maybe many of them had covid recently? (I know quite a few had Omicron).
Both schools are on the lower end of 10 day positive percentages, even though one is high on numbers (it is a large school). I am definitely appreciative of students' and families' care for one another by masking. I am also glad graduation will be outdoors. |
That’s in line with what I observed at a recent event too- I think many teachers were more than happy to ditch the masks after teaching in them in person for the last year, whereas many of the parents were or still are working from home and never had to mask as often. It wears you down, particularly if you are wearing a properly fitted mask and talking all day. |
| I was just at an event where people were mostly wearing masks indoors |
Decent people will help stop the spread of covid in our schools. |
Those aren’t real questions. But whatever distracts you from the fact that a can of beans that cost 46 cents a year ago now costs 71 cents. |
Decent people are no true scotsmen! |
