Saw a picture of a custom order dining table and I hate it.

We have a custom dining room table. I vaguely remember that it may have not quite lived up to expectations initially, but it’s been a decade and I still like it.

I was worried the custom wood bed wasn’t quite the right stain color when it first arrived; it’s fine. I got some custom lamps that were a shade darker/more vibrant than I expected, but have gotten used to them. A custom rug came and I wasn’t happy with it; a few weeks later, it’s grown on me.

Custom stuff is hard. Much like haircuts, they never come out exactly like I want or expected. Also like haircuts (for me at least), it’s fine after the first week.

If it’s a big departure from what you wanted, try to fix. If it’s minor variations in wood, I bet it will be fine
