There's going to be even more evident bloat when they release the full org chart. So much redundancy. |
^^ this. |
No worries, there are far MORE covid cases in central office... It was pretty obvious this was going to happen... what were you expecting? Mask your kid and hope for the best. |
|
And how exactly is a “special education liaison” supposed to help students access services?
Perhaps forget a liaison but hire more school psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists, and speech therapists instead. Perhaps do comprehensive evaluation for students instead of forcing families to pay for private evaluations so disabilities are identified. Perhaps do a gut check on how the General Counsel’s Office and RACU treats families. Perhaps curb the millions of tax dollars spent on outside attorneys to fight students who need services. |
| I hope the Board of Ed stops this insanity. Students need smaller class sizes not bigger Central Office. |
| What’s the estimated cost for the positions Dr. McKnight is proposing? |
MCPS spends millions of dollars on all sorts of various useless initiatives and taxpayers don’t bat an eye. Open up your wallet and pay. No oversight and a corrupt system - this is what we get, unfortunately. Doesn’t matter what the cost is, someone will come on here and say ‘Eh, it’s just a small percentage of the budget.’ |
Does this new org chart have to be approved by the board? |
As what? |
| Pay attention to who’s getting the top jobs — it’s not those who are most qualified, that’s for sure. |
| In other words, they cut many teacher jobs so that they could add a few admin jobs. Just another way to make central office more bloated. |
| I'm surprised this isn't getting more traction in the news. Maybe they are working on the story today. |
| If more people spoke up about this ridiculousness, it would get more press. Sign up to speak at the Board meeting, flood the boe members’ emails with questions/comments, etc….media isn’t going to react to a few comments on Twitter |
More press?? Honey, have you seen how much local news gets covered? We’ve got Caitlynn Peetz at Bethesda Beat, and no one else. |
Nice to see you again, Robin! |
