The Nerve of Pampers

What I find shocking is that a bunch of anonymous commenters are suddenly plugging another brand of diapers. Makes one wonder if 7th generation is behind all of this drummed up controversy.

or maybe all the 3rd world families that pick cotton to produce cloth diapers. 8)

Ditto here. I didn't even want to give the Dry Max a try after all this. I returned my unopened box and have now switched brands (after being very loyal to Pampers through our first child). When I sent an email to Pampers to alert the to the negative chatter happening on DCUM, I got back some useless generic response. Shame on you, Pampers and P&G. Hope you get what you deserve in this.

Yeah I am boycotting Pampers, but we just switched to Huggies with no problems. Huggies didn't work for DS1 because he was so tall and thin, but DS 2 is so stout they haven't been a problem. So no conspiracy with 7th generation from me!

Totally shocking. Perhaps you should let your child wear the dry max and see how red and sore their butt gets. People recommend brands for various products on DCUM all the time, in every forum - sunblock, sippy cups, eczema lotion, strollers, baby carriers for example... Seriously, we are all working for other diaper brands! Not advocating against a multi billion dollar company for our children. You caught us.... And the world is larger than just DCUM, these complaints are nationwide, not isolated to DC.

I sincerely doubt this. There have been other brands recommended on this site. Just do a search for the thread on what people are using now that Pampers sucks.

If you feel this way, please continue to support Pampers and use the DryMax on your baby. Nobody's telling you not to.

My DD got her first rash after 12 hours of dry max last week. we bought 7th gen and it failed miserably. Pampers baby dry isn't dry max and we have been using it since abotu 3 months and no problems at all.

Baby Dry seems to work for us as well but I refuse to put another dime in pamper's pockets at this point.

i can't help but feel a twinge of satisfaction about the fact that the author of that blog post misquoted the figure by 1000 times ("what? a billion, a million, a schmillion, it's all the same!") and that she is a terrible writer in general.

Here's an interesting take on Pampers' PR nightmare. http://gawker.com/5535145/best-pr-money-can-buy-no-match-for-poopy-diaper-fundamentalists

We've been buying Baby Dry since they switched (as well as the overnight diapers) and I too hate buying it... but it works and I don't want to waste money buying another brand that doesn't work as well. I need to bite the bullet when I run out of this box.

We use the Pampers with DryMax and actually haven't had any problems in spite of the fact that my daughter has sensitive skin. Maybe DryMax contains an ingredient or substance to which certain people are having an allergic reaction.

I'm one of the 2 pps who mentioned 7th gen. Someone else mentioned natural babycare. I don't think it's a conspiracy--I'm certainly not advocating 7th gen, simply saying that I am trying them out. I have also been using Luvs, although we've had no leakage, which is good, they are heavily scented. I haven't used huggies since DS was in the NB stage, because we had leaks, but I'd be willing to try them at another size for comparison, and I'd try Kirklands. But if 7th gen works for us (leak/fit wise) and is chlorine free, and somewhat better for the environment, and mid price range, why not. As for what other people choose to use, that's their business!
