Ha, maybe they meant assumption that the girls would be wearing dresses??
+1 to the Trader Joe’s- quiche, mini chicken tacos, meatballs. Veggie tray with hummus or other dip.

Seriously?

The assumption that girls will be the only ones concerned spilling on themselves and boys will be the only ones devouring sliders?

The Trader Joe’s Mac n Cheese bites are always a favorite with my teens. Edamame and California rolls if they like sushi.

Sushi is a great idea - refreshing, not too filling, good protein. I’d have a sushi platter, cheese and cracker platter and fruit kebobs with yogurt dip. Lovely thought, OP!

People say that, but they’re the first thing I run out of when I put out four different appetizers.

I do. I like them. I sometimes eat at super fancy multi-course tasting menu restaurants. And I also like pigs and a blanket. And when I serve them, they disappear. So there.

Great idea! Cheese and charcuterie, crudites, and some bite size desserts would be lovely. Don't forget some sort of festive sparkling non-alcoholic beverage.

My kids love taco cups - I buy those "cup" tostitos and then put in ground meat, salsa, melted cheese and a black olive on top. I have no idea why but they go crazy for them.

Agree - these things disappear, even among fancy people.

Hebrew National pigs in a blanket are the BEST! TJJ’s Parmesan ones come a close second.
