| My DD went last summer for a week and absolutely loved it. She's returning this summer for 2 weeks. This is after she had some bad experiences with Girl Scout camps that turned her off sleepaway camp for a year. |
| My rising 7th grader attended for the first time (1 week session). Liked the camp a lot but hated the food. And that's not a picky eater. I am looking for similar camps with better food options. Maybe Tween Creeks? |

Who ever attended camp hidden meadow 2024 check ur credit card for June. I had an unauthorized charge that they knew about and didn’t take any responsibility about. A few families already have been charged.
Did anyone also experience a few days without water. Apparently they run low on water for a few days and kids can’t bath and get laundry done so they kids stay in the same clothes for a few days . Again apparently it has happened on a few occasions after speaking with family in the past years |

DD, 13, went for their one-week Earth Expeditions specialty program because we could not fit in her regular longer camp stay elsewhere last summer because of other commitments.
She took the shuttle to and from camp, which was fine. Lots of kids were on the shuttle and luggage drop off and pick up moved rather quickly. The camp communicated with the family a lot during that week. DD enjoyed it and said most of the kids were from the DMV, Richmond, and Charlottesville areas that week. She has friends who have done 2 week stays there in the past and were happy overall. She said she had a nice time, the food was okay, and that she prefers to be with kids coming from a variety of places vs mostly from DMV but that's her. I think it's a great camp to try out and see how your kid does. I can definitely see it being good for the elementary / upper elementary/ early middle school ages as they offer relatively short stays and seem organized. Our DD, 13, is into more rustic, no frills, canping/ hiking types of experiences now versus more structured and traditional camp activities. I think it caters to the expectations of parents in the area and largely reflects that. Good luck! |
Shouldn't they have several options for clothes? |

Nope not a good camp.
Kids who get sick are left to fend for themselves. Great place if you are anti vax have at it. |
