Lots of the high schools have Project lead the way if your kid is more into engineering than just science.

Eleanor Roosevelt HS in Prince George’s county has an excellent stem program. Myself and several siblings attended.

They don't. Mine took one CS class and was admitted to 7 CS programs for college. But if you want primarily STEM, there are public schools that cater to that.
