Will APS follow FCPS and shorten the quarantine?

So stupid. Our ES right now has the highest number of cases of covid it's had in 2 years and in APS right now, but yes, let's cut down the quarantine period. Brilliant move. Decision should be made on a school by school basis.

Arlington co is reporting 200 cases a day; aps is reporting 50-75 a day over the past week. So, many cases are children in the county.

Feel free to keep your kid home for 10 days then.

Also, it's isolation not quarantine.

All the more reason this policy makes a lot of sense. Children shouldn't be missing so much school for an illness that is extremely mild for them. We now know with certainty there are widespread negative impacts from the misguided decisions surrounding school for kids over the course of the pandemic. It's nice to see a policy that actually takes anything remotely involving their needs and education into consideration.
