Marble floor in bathroom

Anonymous
Tile setters suck now. They have no skills. They use the wrong grout and do not understand that marble scratches. Mine was destroyed and I paid $1,000 to polish out scratches on every inch of the floor in my bathroom. It was so dull and all you saw were circular scratches from them wiping grout.

Not hard for us to maintain but hard to get someone to put it in right. And don’t do underfloor cheating with marble.

If you have cleaning people, they usually ruin marble. I don’t let cleaning people into my marble bathroom now that it’s fixed.

I wouldn’t do it again.

It looks super clean and I had no issue with slipping.
Good luck!

I have marble floors in the basement and one bathroom. Looks great. Just use the right cleaning products. Marble lasts forever and gains character over time. Ask Europe.

All these people who are slipping on their marble floors - what is wrong with you guys? If you have large slab tiles on your floors, the tiles should be honed not polished.

Also, marble penny tiles have zero slippage. Again those are honed. We have it in our entire bathroom including inside our shower. Even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to slip.

I just did two full bathrooms, a powder room and a foyer/eat-in kitchen area in marble. Yes, it's more upkeep/you need to use cleaners made for natural stone. Yes, you need an installer that knows what they are doing. But personally I love the look of marble and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our marble is also polished but we haven't had issues with slipping (rugs placed in key areas).
