Well if the home tests aren’t accurate why test at all?

It’s better than nothing but they should do mandatory prc.

We will never know. But that's a very low number compared to the scenario after winter break. I think we are good to keep the masks off!

Did Houston give the go ahead? They confirmed that the stars didn’t align? Roger that.

I see what you did there.

Time to move on people. Let's focus on learning loss and mental health problems that came out of this pandemic and stop talking about testing and masks.

No. How about that.

Obviously there was a big conspiracy all the terrible no maskers are sending their sick children to school to infect my precious baby! Everyone who went on vacation now has super covid! My kids stayed at home and didn't go outside so that way they're all safe

They generally are if you are symptomatic. Not so much if asymptomatic.

Which is why the whole thing is ridiculous and a waste of time/money/energy. No good reason to teat asymptomatic kids.

Lucky you... there is a good chance your kids will catch it in school.

Especially with free tests.

Free to you. Not free to the government or school.

Schools don’t pay for testing.

All right then, the government. The question is also what the government could be doing with the money for those tests instead. For example, something that would have a better efficacy at preventing in-school transmission, like ventilation.

Asymptomatic people have Covid. Asymptomatic dental hygienists can have Covid. Asymptomatic public bus drivers can have Covid. We’re not just randomly testing adults. Why target kids to asymptomatic testing? Especially when kids are so low risk.

No logic behind it. No foot reason for MCPS to ask kids to test when they have no symptoms.

This! Nothing is ‘free’.

All of us taxpayers are paying for these tests. Not to mention the amount of waste produced by unnecessary testing. Not very environmentally friendly, for sure.

That is the least of what your concerns should be.

You are right. We should require all these folks to test regularly too.
