Celebrating the beauty of joining a company fully remote

I’m on year 10. I started out M & F. That morphed into fully remote unless I had a C-suite meeting. My new job is fully remote (I’m at Amazon). Will not go back into the office while my kids are home. Maybe never!

Ditto. I’m sure it’s not just women who feel this way. I love working in a stress free environment in super comfy clothes. Snack or coffee of choice within a few steps.

And bathroom! Nothing better than having your own bathroom in the comfort of your own home

I'm also fully remote. Was about half remote pre pandemic, switched jobs last year and am mostly remote, but go in quarterly for 2 days when my team is in town, and travel 1-2x a year for things as well.

It's great - I enjoy the team meetings and meals when we have them, but really like overall WFH.

I hated in-person onboarding with giant department-wide meetings while doing ice breakers with 30 people at once and being the 'new' person walking the hallways as everyone glanced out of their office as you passed.

As an introvert my confidence and happiness is just at x100.

Aww good for you!
