I have been at my new company for a month and I love love love being a remote hire. I hated in-person onboarding with giant department-wide meetings while doing ice breakers with 30 people at once and being the 'new' person walking the hallways as everyone glanced out of their office as you passed.
As an introvert my confidence and happiness is just at x100. |
| Happy for you!! |
| Same here. Hated as a woman being evaluated on my appearance, especially what I was wearing and my hair. |
| Thrilled for you! I hope my next job is 100% remote. I hate everything about in-person work, the commute, the dressing up, the being “on” all day. You’re living the dream! |
| Congrats |
| I’m jealous, that is my fantasy, 2nd only to winning the lottery and not having to work. Congrats OP! |
| I am 25th months of fully remote. I am an introvert myself too. It's been god-send. |
| What kind of work do you do, OP? I would love to find a job where I could work from home. |
|
Love this for you!
I’m a pure extrovert but hate office politics and a lot of professional norms that are simply weird. remote has been incredible for me. |
| Remote work is a dream. I'm much more productive and happier. |
+1 same here! Congrats OP! |
| Congrats, OP! This is my dream too. I'm dreading my impending return to the office, which is nonsense because there's no business reason for me to be there. |
| Congrats. I’ve been remote since March 2020. We could go back but nobody wants to. Thankfully my company owns their building. |
Ditto. I’m sure it’s not just women who feel this way. I love working in a stress free environment in super comfy clothes. Snack or coffee of choice within a few steps. |
| 12 years of nearly fully remote. Go into the office/travel for meetings once every couple of month on average. Love it. |
