It may be a McMansion, but...

its actually an old home from the 1960s added to and renovated, etc. It will sell however.....and for more than asking.

Let us know how it goes! It's a gorgeous house.

+1 Can we come hang out at the pool this summer? We’ll bring the drinks.

holy crap

1.8M can still buy you this out in Nova!?

Ugh...from my 1.6M shack in bethesda..

This is not a McMansion to me. Calling this one insults all of those others (looking at you Arlington) that are in every aspect.

This one has a nice, not-too-busy front facade. It's actually a nicer build for NOVA and I think a good bargain at that price.

I wouldn't call it a McMansion. It's too custom. It is dated.

Very dated and the bathrooms and bedrooms look cheap. Price reflects this - and the location.

The finishes are not my taste but give it a makeover and I could be quite happy with the lot, floor plan, and pool. The vaulted living room with stone fire place has a lot of potential.

There's a lot of irony on DCUM. Dark wood cabinets and granite are dated, but they were actually "in" 10-15 years ago before "Fixer Upper" converted everybody to white and grey kitchens.

And yet, everybody on DCUM also wants top of the line finishes that last 30+ years... just to replace it all when you say it looks dated in 10 years?

Another vote for not a mcmansion.

Wow, I think this is reasonably high quality but I really don’t like anything about it. Truly nothing. I think it’s ugly in every way, including the pool. To each their own.

I loved it. But it is so big and only has 4 bedrooms. The basement level doesn't have any bedroom down there...just the rec room.
That's kind of weird. The backyard looks to die for, and the lot is huge, and I love the big stone fireplace. Not a fan of vessel sinks, but to me it looks like a really nice house that actually seems kind of worth the money? As opposed to SO many houses I see listed. There looks like a finished space over the garage, but it's a shame it doesn't seem like it has a bathroom up there too.

I’m not an architect so maybe this is a thing I just don’t know about, but all the windows look weird to me from the inside. Like the trim is missing or something. And the family room ceiling is just kind of stuck onto the drywall? I don’t even know what my brain thinks should be there instead but the house just doesn’t work for me at all. The stairs feel weird maybe because the open risers don’t go with the metal thingies? It’s hard for me to put my finger on it. It all just looks higgledy piggeldy to me.

it's not my style, but i like it. it'll go for more than $1.8.
