While Lulu’s dresses don’t look expensive, their cute and quality isn’t terrible, either. The bigger question is if you’re confident enough to bare that much arm and back- if you have a spray tan and a body similar to the model, sure. Cute with a big brim straw hat. |
| I’m officially now wanting a desert chic wedding. Some of these looks are so lovely. |
This dress is really gorgeous- giving off vintage starlet in Hawaiian dress vibes. Sexy AND appropriate. |
Probably baby my favorite dress in the thread. Has a 1970s missoni vibe without looking costumey. And the color/pattern would be flattering on a broad range of skin tones. |
NP with my constant question - what bra do you wear with a dress like that? Just those sticky things, no bra, ...? |
Same! Please invite me to a desert chic wedding, world!! |
OP here, thank you all for these incredible suggestions! This has been so helpful and inspiring. Also stumbling over the bra question on this one (and some of the others). And thank you to the PP for questioning whether the low back would work with my pasty post-winter arms, etc (me editorializing here, you were more respectful!). |
| If it’s well fitted and your boobs are reasonably perky and not too big you can probably get away with no bra with that one. With the empire seams right under the bust it will be somewhat fitted like a bra top. |
Do you simply not wear a bra with a dress with a back like that or what are your options? |
| Palm Springs or Santa Fe? Different vibes. |
DP, oops, just realized someone asked the same question a few posts earlier! Still interested to know what the bra options are? |
DP, but I wear a stick-on bra with a dress like that. It helps that I’m super flat-chested. There are bustiers with very low cut backs, which I suppose could be an option for those who need more support. |

I was browsing this morning and this dress caught my eye and it is cheap.
