Not different at all, completely the same. Throw in some burkas, allow legal sale of baby girls into "marriages", make women real property instead of property owners, deny them any right to make a living and we got us what republican America wants

| The Afghans had 20 years to get their act together. Another 200 years of US troops and aid is going to have the same result. |
|
The reason we shouldn’t be involved is that people in Afghanistan generally seem to have chosen this path. We don’t have any great evidence that a majority of people there disagree with this policy. It’s nuts by our standards, but we do things that are nuts be our standards. We have to figure out how to get along. The situation in Ukraine is different because one country is invading another country in a way that’s unpopular and nuts, because the invading country is threatening to nuke us. |
Ugh, are you 10? |
Not our problem. How about you organize a group of like-minded individuals and go over there? This is not a problem for us anymore. |
DP. WTF are you babbling about? |
Bingo. |
DP. Seriously? |
My god, you people are delusional. I don't know why this always surprises me, but it does. |
That would require "fighting spirit", "grit", or "heart"... clearly the Afghan forces lack this. Therefore, before engaging in such an endeavor I suggest they watch a lot of footage of what Ukrainians are doing to the Russians...that's what fighting spirit looks like. |
| Maybe we should sanction Afghanistan, so that the poorly educated girls could also starve. |
This. As long as some of the boys identify as girls, then girls are getting an education, amirite? Come on, TRAs. Chime in here. |
+1 Maybe this is why the GOP is trying to destroy public education. They will rebuild with single-sex schools and will restrict girls’ education. |
| What about trans |
