The less oil America produces, the more we rely on the ME, Venezuela and Russia. America also extracts the oil with less environmental damage than other countries.

America produces more oil than it consumes, but unless you want to ban exports, we're still subject to the market for pricing.

No I am not kidding. Right now the majority of the US wants the no-fly zone. Why isn’t the US pushing for that? Because it is a bad idea, and military strategy isn’t determined by the electoral process.
