Russian Anti American Broadcasting on our airwaves - WTF?

I have thought this for a while. Shell and BP are constantly talking about carbon capture and wind farms...

The less oil America produces, the more we rely on the ME, Venezuela and Russia. America also extracts the oil with less environmental damage than other countries.

America produces more oil than it consumes, but unless you want to ban exports, we're still subject to the market for pricing.

I don't understand why you care so much? The vast majority of people in the US are firmly against Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war. And even if people were to be persuaded by dumb Russian propaganda, it wouldn't have a practical impact.

Right now, in the USA, there are gamers on YouTube who are spewing white supremacist content they aim at young boys. There are American men and boys on TikTok encouraging violence against women. Heck, we have neo-Nazis here (and note that we protect their speech). So no, I'm not particularly outraged about RT.

We had a president that is a white supremacist and a Putin loyalist and people voted for him, so they are probably cool with Russian propaganda too.

I know you know that there is a difference between being "cool" with something and "not being particularly outraged" about something, so just stop.

A lot of Germans weren't too outraged about Hitler or the gas chambers, but they should have been.

Ther Germans also laughed at Trump when he criticized them for over-reliance on Russian energy.

Yes but Biden has stopped leasing more oil and gas.

Republican here who hates Fox news (Love Breaking Points podcast and YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDRIjKy6eZOvKtOELtTdeUA ), we had to listen to MSNBC and CNN for 3 years about RussiaGate - all turned out to be a lie initiated by the Clinton campaign. Why are people still watching mainstream media when Independent Media gives you facts, and doesn't tell you what to think. If you want to get off mainstream media listen to Commentary Magazine Podcast which is a conservative point of view, but they eviscerate crazy republicans (and hated Trump) and give you a point of view that is rational. https://www.commentary.org/

You’re kidding right? Look at the conspiracies about Hillary Clinton, the election in 2020, and other bizarro but ultimately damaging propaganda that is hurting our democracy and fueling fascist groups in the US - Russia plays a role in this.

Could you cite something to back this claim up?

No I am not kidding. Right now the majority of the US wants the no-fly zone. Why isn’t the US pushing for that? Because it is a bad idea, and military strategy isn’t determined by the electoral process.

And pro-white propaganda that came right here from the USA was far more damaging than Russia; Russia just exploited the weakness. And that propaganda is still circulating and radicalizing more people. I’m not saying we can’t be concerned about Russian propaganda, just that I am much, much more concerned about other things.

Um, if we vote for a no-fly zone and go to war - is anyone here going to send their children to go and fight???

No one? Yeah, that’s what I thought … stop with the pro war talk.

It makes perfect sense.

The Russian disinformation you’re so afraid of literally funded green groups that turned European countries away from nuclear energy and got them stuck relying on Russian oil and gas. This is common knowledge to non-low information voters. The war in Ukraine May as well be called Greta’s war.

Keep blaming everything on Russia, what a great way forward ! Let’s see: Hilary didn’t win- Russia’s fault, Trump- Russian agent, Bernie Sanders- Russian agent, inflation- Russia’s fault, Tucker - Russian agent, Taliban and Afghanistan-Russia’s fault, what else? Almost starts to look like that time in our history when Jewish got blamed for everything or Italians or Muslims. Can’t wait till we learn to take responsibility for our own wars, election losses, lies that we spun on our own TV channels, and our own choices. I guess it’s not happening any time soon.
