Anyone uses the free tutoring, how's it?

You can browse the tutors like a dating app on the Tutor Education site, they put pictures and their background, experience etc. The vast majority sounded like side-hustle gigs and these are not professional tutors or people with much experience( at least the ones that I was able to browse thru). The most I found were people who paid to get their certification in 100 hrs of TOFEL or similar paid certification

I was hoping to get t a tutor to help DC with their test on quantum chromo dynamics. Do you know if that's covered too?

I am assuming the tutor will work with your child based on HW/classwork..not present a separate curriculum. This is what most tutors do..

The tutors are great! Ours have been from Wootton.

Anyone has used the free tutoring services yet? How is it? Do I need homeroom teacher referral to sign up? And anyone knows who are those tutors, adults or higher grade students like from MS/HS?

Will they provide above grade enrichment or focus on current grade level learning?

No, I think the tutoring is for students who are behind. I asked daughter's teacher if my daughter qualified for tutoring and the teacher said that she didn't even get a choice in which students to recommend. I think the choice was by the school admin team.

This is absolutely NOT true. Stop giving bad information. Its for any kids. All you have to do is go on the portal and request a tutor. We have been given two tutors. You are probably thinking of another program.

We weren't able to browse but we also opted not to have our information shared so it puts a block on some of these programs. But, one tutor is just a hustle (we haven't started with them yet but will soon) and the other is very qualified and really good.

Both. You and the tutor decide what to work on. There is no criteria.

When you request a tutor, ask for these things to be covered.

No, its not. You are thinking a different program. My kids are NOT behind and if anything above grade level. It is for anyone. You sign up on line and no one asks for grades, report card or any criteria.

There are multiple tutoring programs.

NP: my child worked with a tutor on the FEV platform. He is in AP Physics and not behind in the class or doing poorly just needed additional instruction to prep for exam.
