OP here - just coming back to thank everyone for the suggestions. We ended up going to Black Market bistro and had a wonderful meal there. Our reservation was at 1pm and we were done by 2. We were pretty pleased with ourselves given the great meal and the amount of time we had left before our 3pm show. Of course, that's when disaster struck as I looked at our tickets and tried to plug in directions for the parking garage and became confused when it said 50 minutes away! I'm sure you all can figure out the rest! So we end leaving the restaurant at about 2:10pm and hauling ourselves to Baltimore for the 3pm showing of Wizard of Oz at Meyerhoff. Somehow we managed to arrive at 3:10pm just before Dorothy touched down in oz! The meal was that good that I'm so glad things worked out the way they did as we discovered a new little gem to visit when we next actually have a show at Strathmore.

Glad it worked out!

Strathmore, Meyerhoff - so easy to get them mixed up! Tip for the next time you actually have a show at Strathmore - please don't ask for recommendations for places to eat near Meyerhoff!

Tell me about it. The initial performance was at Strathmore, but I ended up choosing one of the alternative dates for the performance and didn't realize that those performances were at meyerhoff! Luckily now I know to pay better attention to that, particularly since my boys are asking to see the Stars Wars film and orchestra performance next which is offered at both places but on different days.

They are so different. Java Nation is casual, Black Market Bistro is white table cloth. I would 100% go with Java Nation with kids, plus they have tons of outdoor seating.
