| It would take me 20 minutes each night just to lock up. |
| $5 million for Rockville is laughable. And the house is ugly too. |
| 7 car garage is ridiculous. The pool doesn’t even look that nice. House needs work. Way overpriced. |
| I could pay much less if I wanted to live in a gross house on Tuckerman La that’s also a few houses away from a deafening highway |
|
People are such jerks. It may or may not be worth it but it’s a lovely home. No updates needed.
The only thing I’d change is the cooktop on an island without a hood, but it’s not as big a deal to a lot of people. |
| That area is lovely. |
| Voicing an opinion does not make someone a jerk. Just because someone does not care for this house does not make that person a jerk. Grow up. |
“Not for me” is a valid opinion on this one. “Ugly” - well, “not for me” is better because it’s well-designed, so going over that edge is jerking. “Needs renovation,” are quite objectively untrue. |
| *jerkish |
Why do you cook if you live in a house like that? Shouldn’t they have a cook? |
Actually living within the city limits of Rockville is pretty awesome. Their city services are incredible. I live in Rockville and that’s one of the huge plusses. |
| I like it, but the back yard looks like a rec center. |
My first thought too - that's not a $5M kitchen! |
This house isn’t within the city limits though, or close to them. I think it’s funny that people are still so enraged by the mention of “North Bethesda”. That’s what the area is officially called, like it or not. And the notion that Bethesda is some highly prestigious place to live is outmoded too, given how expensive all of the DMV has become. |
Posters like you are very dated in your thinking. The OFFICIAL (on land deeds) name of this area is now North Bethesda. Let go of your snarky, "I grew up around here and that is really Rockville." Time moves on. Names change. White Flint mall, for example, is not there anymore. The metro stop is going to be renamed "North Bethesda." I guess WMATA did not consult all the posters who think the area is really "Rockville." Let it go people. |
