Similarly, I use Google Calendar. I have it displayed on my phone screen; that helps too.

+1 google calendar shared with family. Google cal also has a task feature.

Sigh.. sad that we have to manage home life like work life.

Are you making her available to do mine, too? That's so sweet!

Why does every question on this board generate a judgmental response?
I would note first that OP said activities and appointments, as the parent of a child with a heart condition who sees specialists quite frequently keeping track of appointments is complicated even if none of my children did a single extra curricular activity.
Second, a complex set of activities and plenty of family time are not mutually exclusive and sometimes keeping close track of schedules enables you to build in more of what your family needs. For example, I stagger my kids activities in what seems like a crazy manner but it enables me to get natural one on one time with each kid that we all really enjoy, something which is particularly challenging in my family due to the medical needs of my child who is a heart patient.

For OP, I fine Google calendar with reminders easiest for this because I can integrate it with my work schedule and avoid scheduling a meeting and a kid activity at the same time. We also have a paper calendar on the wall to help my kids follow along.

Paper planner.

Phone didn’t work for me because I was also getting phone calls and things would distract me.

I use Google Calendar. I have started also using it to note things like when kids report weird symptoms that don't warrant an immediate medical visit or that come and go.

I.e. on March 10th I note: "Larlo Notes" and in the comments put "pain in left leg, went away". or whatever. I find I have a really bad memory when doctors ask me how long something's been going on so it is useful to record it on the calendar.

I have a shared google calendar with my husband, and if whatever it is happens during the work day, I send an invite to my work account so it shows on my outlook calendar too. Before I started doing that I would double book myself during kid appointments. Then I also have a paper calendar hanging in the kitchen, and I try to write anything relevant to our nanny on that one.

Paper and pen. I also keep a master "to do" list on a Word doc.

I let my husband know when he needs to be somewhere.

Wunderlist. Will probably do a physical one as well once the kids are old enough to understand. And institute family meetings on Sundays lol
