How long did it take you to have pack?

3 level 4 bedroom townhouse. Two adults one kid. I did 90% of the packing, DH did the rest.

Packed each night for about 3 hrs, each room took about 3 days. Did 6 hrs per day on weekends. Kitchen took about twice as long as other rooms.

But our house was SUPER organized, so I think that made everything go very quickly - I didn’t need to purge anything as everything was in its place. On the other hand, we have LOTS of books, and those took a really long time to pack up.

We moved again five years later and hired packers (but we had 4 kids by then) - took 4 men two- 10 hr days as we just had more stuff.

Unpacking - still have boxes that have been unopened for the last 3-4 moves…
