Yes, and we have an acceptance for 9th (and will be attending).

My daughter will likely see yours there. She's super excited.

I’m sorry. Did she get any acceptances? Talk up the other choices and attend the accepted student events. Also have her write a letter to Madeira about why she wants to attend. I know 2 girls who got off the WL by agreeing to board rather than attend as day students. Good luck.

Same here. Although we're holding out hope for School without Walls too.

Rejected at Holton and honestly, I’m relieved. DD LOVED it when she visited, but between the tuition and commute (from College Park), I’m glad it won’t be an option.

In at GDS, SFS and NCS. wL at Maret but I think they knew it wasn’t a school she wanted to attend.

Sorry for your DD

I hope she gets on off the wait list .

This. Have her write a first choice letter saying she will attend if offered a spot.

congrats! which ones?

Holton, Madeira, Stone Ridge and two other co-ed schools.

Holton is the best offer of those. Congrat's to your DC

Depends on what DD is looking for. Holton is secular. SR is part of world wide sacred heart order that fosters strong spiritual, intellectual and community values and is very strong in athletics. Holton has good global education program while SR has many sister schools all around the world. I Know girls who were not happy with Holton and many who are happy with SR. Probably vice versa as well. Don’t know many at Madeira as we are in MD. However, have heard very good things about that school from alumni.

It is about best fit. They are all good schools.

I’m very sad for you PP but their WL moves (a lot some years) so make sure they know she really wants to go there.

IDK PP, Stone Ridge is pretty great too and I’m not Catholic. I think you’ll hear many folks say Holton is the best of these 3 but not sure that is true. My DD decided on a top Co-Ed private. She was accepted at Holton but we didn’t even look at Stone Ridge and I regret it. I have been universally impressed in our interactions with SR over the years. Give it serious consideration.
