Vintage Cars

I bought a classic that’s usually considered “reliable” and on one drive, the suspension fell off. On another it just died in the middle of Rockville pike on a 96 degree day. Classic cars won’t be reliable. But there’s no more fun way to sink all of your time and money.

I have a soft spot for the classic Volvo 240 wagon because that is what I grew up with and learned to drive in and which was also my first car as a hand-me-down. There was a secession of three 240 wagons across my childhood and into the early 20s.

I still see one on the road every few months. And I'm tempted to get one as a classic car to play around with and drive out occasionally. Dark blue, preferably. And there's a simplicity to them that I find appealing, even to this day.
