Yes, before first day of school. Not necessarily easy to get the information. Paperwork must be completed ahead of time. Monitor communications carefully, check website, reach out to coach.

For my experience, I started following the Twitter accounts of my DC’s fall sport/ HS AD around this time when they were in 8th grade. Start doing the same. Sometime in July, they will start communicating that it is time to register for fall sports.

Field Hockey tends to have fewer cuts. Not as many girls play this at a club level before high school.

WJ has an ultimate frisbee club that practices with Whitman. You can look them up through the WJ clubs section I bet. There are no cuts, you would pay some for jersey's and league fees, but probably cheaper than crew. The compete in a HS league out of MoCo and will play in a tournament or two out of the county. Ultimate has a pretty supportive and friendly culture overall.

Are the games/events for club sports also on weekdays only or can they be on weekends?
