| I stopped pumping at 12 months to the day almost. I hated it so much. I switched the cow’s milk and sent in the rest of my freezer stash over like a week? I didn’t worry about supply because my kids really liked solid foods and I’m pretty sure she was only nursing for comfort/habit at that point anyway. I started dropping daytime feeds (on weekends) at the same time, and ended up fully weaning around 15 months which is about what I wanted. |
| We've never given our kids cow milk. They're humans. |
| No because at that point it would’ve been only for my own weight control which would’ve felt wrong. |
| There is a difference between having your kid eat cheese and yoghurt vs stressing about switching to cows milk thinking it’s necessary. Then adding chocolate to it to make them drink it etc. just look in a school cafeteria. Kids drinking chocolate milk full of sugar because it’s what’s provided as good nutrition…. It’s baloney. |
So you don’t give them cheese, yogurt, ice cream or any milk product? Humans have been consuming dairy for over two thousand years. Through evolution, we’ve developed a need for the nutrients found in dairy. The whole “they’re human” thing is such parroted nonsense and so 1990. |

| No and still nursed until 2 years old. |
Who is stressing? OP hasn’t even started yet. I offered warm cows milk to my first baby at 12 months and she loved it immediately. With my second, I had to keep offering like any food and he got into it at around 16 months but only likes it cold. Our school doesn’t offer chocolate milk. Does yours?! |

Oh good grief. If that's what you want to feel your children, that's fine. It is one path to get nutrients but it is not the only one. |
Oh, good grief, milk is the easiest, cheapest and most available way to get your child the needed nutrients. Oh, good grief, if you still want to parrot the 1990’s line, go ahead. Oh, good grief, when the f are you going to gives this tired argument up. |
I want to get out my hair scrunchie and Color Me Badd CDs when I read this! Donna Martin graduates! |
Ours doesn’t either. We did have to petition for whole milk though. All they were offering was 2%. |
