I think I have a Versa. I've had it for about a year. I don't use a lot of the features, but I still really like having it. I also like that you can change the bands. I think I'll pay more attention to the color of the face next time (mine is purple) so I can switch the bands out to something nicer more easily.

You can try a FitBit for about a 1/4 of the price. Not quite as fancy but it works.

I have both and I actually like the fitness features of the Fitbit better.

I currently have an Apple Watch, but previously had Fitbit and I agree the Fitbit has better fitness features. For the Apple watch, if you do any sport besides walking or running, you have to manually start the workout on the watch for it to track your workout. I play cardio tennis multiple times a week and it registers as 2 minutes of exercise unless I remember to start the app. So, it's near impossible to close my rings unless I walk the dog, which the Apple watch thinks is some sort of a marathon and closes my exercise ring. The Sleep feature on the fitbit is also great, I really miss that. I purchased a Sleep app to go with my Apple watch, but once again, I have to remember to turn it on before I go to sleep or it doesn't measure my sleep. And as a previous poster said, you have to charge your Apple watch daily, where the fitbit is once every 4 or 5 days.

You don’t have to start the app to track sleep. Make sure you have enable sleep detection setting on. Regarding cardio tennis, if your heart rate is up it will still give you active points whether you have activity on or not.

Also, I usually can charge every 2 days on my Apple Watch.

Me too!

Yes! Me too. The purchase of my Apple Watch was definitely the first step towards a more active lifestyle. I was active before but tracking it motivated me in a new way. I started working with a trainer and walking 12k steps most days. Now am focusing on nutrition to better fuel my weight lifting efforts. It’s such a great tool and motivator.

Ugh, it was a motivator for me for about a 10 months. I'm off the wagon and trying to get back on it. Now, I really don't care if I close my rings every single day. Not sure how I will get back on track.

Do you need to pay any monthly fees for either the apple or Fitbit?

Not op, but mine is 1500.

OP if you have a newer version of the watch, it will sync right up to the peloton and Apple fitness + apps. Once you get really into these, working out will be so much more enjoyable
