One of Miyares First Hires Resigned after being Exposed as Conspiracy Theorist

It's doxxing if her FB account is private - the WaPo "obtained" screenshots of it. Sounds like it's not a public account.

How is it a dox if she posted seditious comments on public social media? You seem ill informed. Like Miyares.

I think this shows he is sloppy and hurried to fill positions after firing honorable attorneys. He obviously didn't think he was going to win the election.

DP. Again: her FB was probably private, so no - she did not post this on public social media. My FB is private. Some random person isn't going to be able to see my posts.

Really.

I'm surprised there aren't more Big Lie supporters.

But your Facebook friends can. And so could hers. I don’t know if hers was public or not, but certainly some of the public could see her posts.

If the WaPo obtained a screenshot it was public. You may not like the WaPo but they have standard unlike your media.

The more probably scenario is one of her FB friends or friend of friends screenshot her page and shared it with WaPo.

At this point, what difference does it make?

Why wasn’t she fired?

Why was she hired in the first place? How did the vetting process fail so spectacularly?

Perhaps Youngkin and team were ok with it?

DP. This was not doxxing. Doxxing is digging up personal information about a private person that is not readily publicly and the posting it online to enable and encourage the faceless mob to stalk, harass and threaten them. That is not what happened here. The Washington Post obtained evidence that a public official previously expressed views that make them unfit to hold their position. Having obtained that evidence, it was very much in the public interest to have this information aired. They handled that information responsibly as journalists. That the public official lost their job over it does not make it inappropriate.

Isn’t that what this thread is doing? At least the part in bold?

No. We are criticizing Miyares for hiring this nut job.

Considering how quick the admin cut her loose, I'm going to guess they do not consider it doxxing. If they truly cared, they would have stood behind her. They didn't. They dumped her like a sack of potatoes.

Not fired for her ideology. Just because she’s a liability.

+1. The person who posted it is, in herself, barely worth a discussion. We are discussing Miyares’ incredibly poor judgment in hiring her, probably as a political favor, without any vetting.
