Now I'm wondering......I only applied to 2 schools!

We only applied to 1-2 for all our kids bc we knew those were the only choices that were worth it for us as our public would have been just fine.

A lot of people apply to a very small number of "dream schools" and will be happy at their local public if one of those schools doesn't come through.

That was our approach. Applied to 2-3 schools for each kid. These were the schools we were willing to pay for beyond what our public school offered.

We did the same and got into all 3.

Weird. You’re bored!

NPS may not be as competitive as BVR but in no way is it an easy admit. People are quick to say “it is of you’re full pay”. Most folks at NPS are full pay, they’re not hurting for money. Goodluck OP.

Do you think her 4 year old is submitting her own applications?

Right? I always find that line of attack so bizarre and pathetic. Of course the parents are the ones applying for their child! People need to let that go.

Technically correct but come on. It is not her 5 yo said "Mommy I want to go to private school" and then filled out the applications.

This is spot on. People are confused why we only applied to two schools. It’s because those are the only two we’d be willing to pay for. The others don’t seem worth it in comparison with our public option. Might feel differently in later years.

We are in exactly the same boat.

Lowell is a lovely school and they may accept a late application.
