| I find FB much easier to use for affinity groups... e.g. as an aquarium hobbyist I can find groups with searchable history of extensive discussions of different types of fish, plants, products, etc... and if something's not covered for my particular case I can just post and ask my question and get earnest replies. That's very different than the core "feed" of the platform with friends/family/acquaintances. I find this affinity group functionality MUCH harder to come by and the information much harder to access on other platforms (except Reddit, which I also use regularly for affinity group stuff). My only gripe is there's not a good way on FB to "cluster" groups by interest... I either have to go to my groups 1-by-1, or I can get a feed of ALL my groups which span many diverse topics/interests, neither of which are ideal. |
