I can't wait until this is over.

This= my children being mcps students.

Crazy that as an MCPS teacher (but not an MCPS parent--we live in DC), I did not get this message? Awesome, thanks for the heads up, employer.

How is this MCPS’s fault? Do you not read news from all over the US?

I feel like in the past they’ve described threats as non-credible. “Low level” seems like a step up from that.

HBCUs the last couple days. Now high schools?

Caitlyn Peetz says the posts with the threats are racist and anti-semitic.

Yes, that’s unconscionable.

agreed

Suddenly, having police officers in the schools doesn’t seem like a bad idea? Sorry, but you can’t have it both ways.

My kid is staying home too. Cramps + this vague threat = mental health day.

Let's be honest with ourselves. This is a threat against wheaton. If the entire county wasn't under one reign of error this wouldn't be my problem tonight.

Also, the fact that they didn't bring back SRO'S but had a bulletin survey about snow days is pretty much their fault. Yes.

Why not make it a snow day tomorrow? Ice and freezing rain vs school violence.

For BCC students, this is the second such threat this year. The first was for a shooting the Monday after the chair-thrower on a Friday. Very worried parent wondering how not to frighten 9th grade DC and make DC fearful of attending this school.

Our children deserve better than this. I don't know how to keep my child safe and educated, too.

Make it a virtual day
