Alvin Bragg. That is why.
He is a progressive DA who is more concerned with "restorative justice" than actually prosecuting criminals.

That DA stands for "district attorney" but in his case, it is more like "defense attorney."

Bragg is FINALLY dismissing his EGREGIOUS murder charge of the INNOCENT gentleman protecting his life from rabid killers.

Has Bragg yet charged the girl who stabbed the bodega worked? No. New Yorkers prefer to protect their criminals whenever they can get away with it. I loved NYC when I lived there, but won’t go back until the real criminals start getting locked up.

Aren’t New Yorkers happy with their sanctuary status?

No he didn’t vote for people in TX and AZ putting migrants on buses to NYC where they no one one, giving them false addresses that they probably found off the internet. No he didn’t vote for that. No one did.

They didn’t! The wealthiest neighborhoods voted for Kathryn Garcia in the primary: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/06/23/nyregion/nyc-mayor-primary-results-precinct-map.html

True. I live in a wealthy Manhattan neighborhood, and that is whom I & almost everyone I know voted for.

The subways are a disaster. Don't ride in off-hours, look at what happened to this woman: https://nypost.com/2022/09/26/nyc-vagrant-pummels-female-straphanger-in-caught-on-video-horror-cops/

Look at all the prior offenses the attacker had. It's crazy.

NYC is such a neat town and it's being destroyed by a bunch of lawless career criminals. Why aren't they putting them in prisons?

Update: the guy who beat up the lady in the above post killed his own grandmother when he was 14!

https://nypost.com/2022/09/26/vagrant-seen-pummeling-woman-in-nyc-subway-station-killed-his-own-grandmother-in-the-90s/

Not to mention his numerous other violent crimes.

At what point does society agree that some people cannot be rehabilitated?

Vote R. The insanity needs to end. NY is on a San Francisco trajectory except maybe worse.

NYC has ranked choice voting and Adams won.

Good reason why ranked choice voting is bad.

He parties at night too. He just likes the title.

Unlike SF, it has a vibrant nightlife and doesn't roll up at 10 PM. That draws a lot of people who otherwise might move.

He is absolutely useless and terrible. I say this as a a lifelong New Yorker and a Democrat: Bill DB and Adams will probably do as much damage to NYC as Trump did to America. Why can’t we have more of the capable, moderate, educated people in charge…
