Will school close for Friday?

No one is cheering it on. It's a longstanding (dating back a few years) silly game where people guess the day/time of a weather-related announcement. Most people seem to believe that school will be open as usual and many are hoping for that. I find your misreporting obnoxious.

They were also closed last Thursday for snow that turned out to be just rain.

Do you read your emails? Duran sent an email out about this today. And last week. And the week before that.

Fingers crossed the bad weather doesn't start until after school is over!

Opposite here. Fingers crossed it start early and I get an early dismissal so I can start my 4 day weekend early. We teachers are under an exorbitant volume of stress this year.

Unlike all the working parents who have been balancing providing for their families and dealing with school closures the past 2 years? And the kids suffering from learning loss?

Wishing for an early start to your already 4 day weekend when you just had a bunch of paid snow days off is in poor taste. In fact it makes me think you’re a troll trying rile up some anti-teacher posters.

Yes! It may be “tradition” but the guy who keeps starting these threads really seems to revel in it. It’s easy to make it a fun “game” when you know you’ll get the paid day off. But for working parents, particularly those with young kids who are just burnt out and out of paid leave after these past 2 years, I find him grating.

Oh boo hoo. If you don't like the game, then don't pay attention to it. Everyone keeps calling for a return to "normal" -- a return to life before February 2020. This game existed before then so you should be happy for the "normalcy".

I think that’s an appropriate game to play on the teacher page, not AEM. I think he has a compulsion to frequently post on a wide variety of things.

Looks like snow starting at 3? Hopefully only a dusting around that time so buses won’t be impeded, etc.

All missing assignments in HS due by 11:59 tonight for the end of the quarter. My kid hopes sports are cancelled so he can get a head start.

CWG looks like they just upped snowfall totals and recommended getting home by 4PM.
