Bassinet recommendations

I saw my friend’s SNOO go bonkers, and give her baby whiplash. Must have been on the wrong setting. It was horrifying to see.

Yes! Those who have it, love it, despite its odd look. I used it for two kids. The pockets and storage are so good, it rolls right up to the bed and you can see inside easily. Checks every box.

Loved the Halo. We used it for six months. It is heavy so we didn’t move it around the house; if that’s something you want I’d look for other brands. The resale value on the Halo is amazing. I bought it for $200 and sold it for $125.

Unless she overrode the settings, I don’t think that’s possible?

Baby Bjorn

If the issue is just space, you can also do a mini crib. We had the arms reach for first 2 kids and now using a davinci Colby mini with trundle storage. It converts to a twin bed later.

The Vista stroller was expensive but a silver lining is our baby sleeps well every night in the included bassinet (w/ stand)

Just FYI you are supposed to stop using it at 5 months, 20lbs, or when a baby starts to roll, which normally happens well before that. I have a few friends who only got a couple of weeks use out of it for that reason. Rolling is a really early milestone for discontinuing use and seems unique to the halo, probably due to its design.

I don’t know what happened, but it’s the most violent thing I ever saw happen to a baby... like shaken baby syndrome. It scared the sh*t out of me. SNOO should have a giant warning label on it.

We used a pack n play with our first and a baby Bjorn with our second. The baby Bjorn is attractive and cozy for baby, but quite small—our small/average baby outgrew at around 3 months.

So you haven't had an infant without the snoo yet? I rocked two all night long. The snoo means I get to sleep instead.

PP- I had two babies who didn't sleep any better in the snoo than out of it, and we're delayed in rolling because they were strapped in.

You were watching your friend's baby sleep in the bassinet? And you saw it give the baby "whiplash"? Please explain, including how you know the baby had whiplash

We got this mini crib - https://usa.bloombaby.com/products/alma-mini. It is super tiny (smaller than the pack n play which we used for our first and ultimately fit our space better). Plus I find it visually very pretty. The fold was great because we actually took it on road trips. The oldest got the pack n play and the baby got their normal crib.
