I suspect they wanted to get this done during the pre-season. March is for title races, not disrupting practices for Super Y tryouts.

And April/May is for regular tryouts. I don't see the issue. Plus they get a leg up on seeing talent from other clubs.

Um, our team practices at least once a week in January, often twice. So I don't know what difference the 28 degree weather makes.

Me neither. The PP is probably one of those people that likes to find fault with others even when there is none.

Not a leg up on other clubs.. kids from other clubs will try out for super Y so they will get to see that talent before official team tryouts in April/May.

The special kids are already practicing with Arlington and don’t play super y.

Nope. Didn't attend. My DS has never done Super Y, and at this point I don't think he ever will. Was just providing my view on the whiny snarker.

I'm the other poster and my child didn't try out either - he does multiple weeks of overnight camp every summer, so not a fit with super Y

When are the games for Super Y? Trying to figure it out with NVSL (summer swim) on Saturday mornings.

I think for the most part on Saturdays, all hours. (That's how it was for us last summer)
