OP here,
Yes, we went to the game! it was actually really a great time and my son liked seeing a lot of Dayton shirts/hats in the crowd. We didn't really talk to anyone, but just about everyone in our section (103) seemed to be there for Dayton. Thanks so much to the alum that recommended that section!

And the George Mason band/singers were AWESOME! I especially loved the performance of "This is how we do it" at half time! I might go back for a GMU game just to hear them again!
