I love the cupcakes here!

I live in Arlington and have young kids. I will go on a limb and say that even though I regularly purchase Bakeshop for my own parties because kids love them, Bakeshop and Pastries by Randolph cupcakes are no better than the Cherrydale Safeway. I am a loyal Harris Teeter shopper but every time I have ever liked a cake or cupcake enough to ask the host where it is from - the answer is Cherrydale Safeway.

If you want to impress on a budget similar to Bakeshop, I propose mini bundts from Anything Bundt Cake.

some grocery stores have nice cupcakes that are about 2 buck a piece. not just thee regular ones. maybe that would work.

they also sell some in store that are kind of fancy (kimberley's?) that are either 1 or 2 each. they come in packs of 2 or 4.

TJ’s cupcakes are tasty and though they come in packs of 4 are only about $1 each.
