OP here. I scheduled it through the county earlier and answered everything honestly - my 15 year old had the Pfizer vaccines more than 6 months ago.

They let me schedule it but I don't want to take him out of school early if they will reject us at the door.

I'm looking for a number to call but I guess that's not realistic

We had a valid 530 appointment this evening at Dennis St for our thirteen year old after the CDC advisors approved, and they turned us away. They weren’t busy at all. Just sitting there turning people away!

Had to wait on the CDC decision to be made and work it's way through the channels, I guess.

Does anyone know whether you can arrive early for your appointment?

Might have to wait!

Really depends on where you're going.

Are you testing your kids before getting the shot?
Too many decisions to make these days!!

The Mo Co Covid-19 Information Portal now says:

"Effective Thursday, January 6, 2022, anyone 12 years and older may get a booster."

Again, until I am blue in the face: schedule it as a third shot at any drug store or pharmacy. We did this three weeks ago at cvs.

I was able to schedule an appointment at a Giant Pharmacy but it's not for a couple weeks.

No they didn’t. Maryland had of already approved it for 12 to 15-year-olds. Right on the website it says booster available for 12 and up. And then it had a link where you can make an appointment. So Maryland was saying they could do it but Macgomery County decided not to but still allowed people to make appointments for 12 to 15-year-olds. And they showed up and they turned them away. It was incompetent. And stupid because it’s not like there was a line. They did not have to do that. Legally, they could give out the vaccine because Maryland had approved it

I was able to register at local CVS for this coming Wednesday. All other appointments are already taken.

The CVS near Ritchie Plaza in Rockville had appointments for Monday 1/10 onward.
