Most of the One Bars ar 220 calories. Not great but not terrible either. Even the lowest calorie protein powder is going to be 120 cal for 20 g protein. |
| How about a cup of plain Greek yogurt? |
So? OP said they wanted something natural. Pure Protein is filled with gross tasting whey protein, fractionated palm oil, and fake imitation sugars. Yuck. I’d rather have pure ingredients even if it meant less protein. |
Most people opt for protein bars because it's portable, you can eat it on the run, and it's not messy. Yogurt is none of those things. |
Hands down, my favorite is Aloha Protein Bars. My favorite is Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. https://aloha.com/products/peanut-butter-chocolate-chip-protein-bar The ingredient list is also pretty good! Organic Peanuts, Organic Tapioca Fiber, Organic Protein Blend (Brown Rice Protein, Pumpkin Seed Protein), Organic Chocolate Chips (Cane Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Vanilla Powder), Organic Tapioca Syrup, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, Sea Salt, Organic Monk Fruit |
| Mid-Day Squares!! Expensive but zero "bad" ingredients. Look for them online (and search for a coupon). They are yummy - the peanut butter is my fave, next is Almond Crunch. |
Stop being dramatic. Kind bars are not even close to being a candy bar. Most of them only have around 180 calories and only 5 grams of added sugar, which is only 1/2 to 1/3 as much sugar as many single cups of flavored yogurts people eat. A kind bar has about 20% of your daily recommended value for fiber as well, which is why it can satiate you on such a low quantity of calories. Kind bars are fine. |
| Luna - we like the chocolate ones |
Agree! And the crave bars taste like snickers. |
Haha, people crack me up when they say things like this. Protein bars are a convenience snack that you can leave in your purse, gym bag, etc. Not the case with yogurt. |
+1. I found it hilarious that the PP thinks Kind bars are candy, but then gives ONE bars as a “healthy” option. Those things have like 25 grams of sugar in them. Literally more sugar than a snickers bar. With flavors like “chocolate chip cookie dough”, “birthday cake” and “maple donut”. Sure totally what OP is looking for. |
I don't disagree with you that they're low in sugar, but I personally would rather skip chicory root fiber, palm kernel oil, and glucose syrup. If I'm going to eat something that tastes like a candy bar, I'd just as soon have an actual Snickers but get my protein from a handful of almonds or a hard boiled egg. |
| I like NuGo slim bars. No sugar alcohols and they taste good. Recommend the chocolate mint or roasted peanut flavors. Whole Foods used to carry them but I buy online. |
Not to mention one bars use sugar alcohols (e.g xylitol etc.) which really aren't all that natural in large quantities either. One bars taste like a vat of artificial chemicals for a reason. |
| I like the Good to Go bars |
