| Hang in there, OP. It’s great they are chipped. |
| OP, they are bigger than most coyotes and maybe they are huddled somewhere hiding to keep warm. |
City people OP, ignore these posts. A coyote is not going to go after a 50+ pound dog. You can let that fear go. I would worry about cars. Keep calling shelters. Hope they find their way home.
|
Oh stop it. A coyote isn’t going after a large dog. A wolf would. But not a coyote. |
| OP do not give up hope. Call shelters, post on your local list servs, get the word out on FB etc. |
As a city person I already said this so you can stop with your eye roll. Not helpful and pretty unnecessarily snarky. |
meant to highlight this. City people know a thing or two. |
| Hey OP, try posting on pawboost. Sends out an alert to local folks and vets, shelters, etc. https://www.pawboost.com/ |
|
Thanks everyone- still nothing yet. I have posted everywhere and used organizations that help with contacts etc
I have a call into tracking service |
|
Sounds very strange, are you sure they weren’t taken?
Do you live in a neighborhood or an area with a lot of land? Do they get out often? |
| Found!! And safe - and oddly not dirty… we are surrounded by woods that they love to go into - suburban MD |
|
Farmer here, coyote would be my last worry. Cars, yes.
Search FB for your city Lost and Found Pets groups. My area has such a group with tens of thousands of participants. They are much better than the Humane Society at reuniting pets. |
Awesome news! So happy you have them safe at home, OP! |
Where? That’s wonderful news, OP! |
|
Glad your dogs are safe.
Coyote do hunt in pairs and will lure a larger dog. Learned this when two coyotes stalked my Doberman and would have taken him down had I not been present. |
