Glad you recognize this is petty.

The gifting realtors…are they female?

We spent nearly a million and got nothing. We did get gifts from the mortgage broker and title company, though.

You bought a house. You do not get the rights to name her first born.

Sheesh. It is hard to understand how you were able to amass enough money and credit in order to buy your house. You sound crazy.

I nice vintage bottle of Dom and some high end cookies plus a year's worth of home warranty.

We used the same realtor to sell our house and buy a new one and we got a book about how to maintain our home and some other small tchotchkes I can’t remember.

I was pretty irritated because she did very little work and made a ton of money off of us. I won’t recommend her or use her again.

Bought and sold twice. We never received from or gifted anything to our realtor. We, however, negotiated their fees and thought critically about the renovations that they were recommending. That was worth more to us than knickknacks or booze.

When we bought a three bedroom condo for about 1M, our realtor gave us a bbq that my husband said was very nice.

Bought for 308K in 2010 when we had to scrimp and save. Our realtor gave us a 500 g/c to Pottery Barn which was huge for us at the time.

+1 We got a personalized cutting board (that we still use), a towel (?), and cloth basket that it came in. Unnecessary but a nice thought - what our realtor really did for us is convince us to look in the neighborhood we now live in (and love) and give us half off the commission on our condo sale.

She has stayed in touch though, and gifted us a Washingtonian subscription randomly 3 years after our move.

You people sound really petty. These realtors if they work for agencies take only a small part of the commission home. Buying a $1.75m house and wining about not getting some small gift makes you sound pathetic.

Cheesy glasses with a local theme. But she did her job well which is what I hired her for.

I got the home warranty for the year, and I think a bottle of champagne. It’s been a while.

we got a bottle of champagne at closing... last thanksgiving a costco pie (we have a gluten free house and gave it away)- this year, a gift box of chocolates at christmas time (also gave 90% away due to celiac)

5 million house a year ago. Received 3 gifts: really nice bottle of wine for DH, Dyson Airwrap for DM, a $130 inflatable for DC (house on water). Amazing agent.
