These responses are fascinating because when people are worried about teens smoking weed the responses are like “whatever, grandma!” (And no need to ti explain to me how addictive nicotine is!)

Show her pictures of diseased lungs. Let her know that if she get lung cancer she's on her own and you'll let her die.

You are all missing the point. Teenagers don't think about wrinkles or being grow many years from now. Nor do most care that much about cancer potential in 40 years. Sure show them pictures and give them warnings. Did that work on you? The consequences may help especially taking away phone.
