That’s not how it works. Vaccinated people carry/ spread Covid just like anyone else. They just don’t get as sick themselves- usually

Nope, this is incorrect. If you are fully vaccinated/boostered and you become infected, your immune system immediately "remembers" and mounts a defense to SARS-CoV-2 and the virus is impeded from replicating as efficiently as it would in someone who is unvaccinated. The result being that the viral load is not as high, hence less likely to spread to someone else.

I don't understand how the booster will protect your kids? Most people I know who have omicron already had the booster.

I decided that once my kids are fully vaccinated (I have an 18 month old) that I'm not going to spend my mental energy worrying about the vaccine status or social habits of my family members. It's not my job to care about their health more than them.
