Is peppermint flavor something you grow out of?

Peppermint mocha is bad at being peppermint and bad at being chocolate.

I really hope this is a joke, because if not, it is the most ridiculous COVID-paranoia post I’ve seen to date.

Our region is a hotbed of Covid right now, and many viral infections temporarily modify smell and taste. It reminds me of all the Yankee candle reviews a few months ago who complained their candles didn't smell of anything I think Stephen Colbert made a joke about it on his show.

But I wanted to gag at a few peppermint items I've had over the last week or so -- high-quality chocolate, peppermint mocha at Starbucks, a cocktail, and peppermint ice cream. All of it tastes so synthetic and sweet to me now. Is this normal? I used to love peppermint mochas in college and peppermint ice cream was probably my favorite. No more.

I used to LOVE mint chip ice cream. Have not enjoyed it a few years.

I forgot one ... the White Chocolate Peppermint Bark at The Fresh Market is yummy, too!

I love the peppermint meringues from Trader Joe's though.

Have you seen them anywhere? I haven't seen them this season and just mentioned that to DH. I might have to make my own.

I bought a bunch early in the season. My mom lives in a town without a Trader Joe's and loves them so I included them in her Christmas box.

I used to love both Yorks and especially Junior Mints. Now they both make me gag.

Starbucks mocha sans peppermint is actually cozy every once in a while. I usually get it minus one or two "pumps" of chocolate, so it's not too sweet. But the peppermint mocha is awful.

Listen to your son.

Try a two pump peppermint mocha with whole milk.

I hope not. I’m 42 and I love peppermint.

I don’t do mochas because I’m super picky about coffee.

However the peppermint milkshake at Chick Fil A is amazing

I love peppermint bark ice cream from Häagen-Dazs.
